Digital Jersey stated that the new AI Council will act as a coordinating body to "align and amplify initiatives" across the island's public and private sectors.
It stated that the Council will facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing to "maximize the benefits and minimize the risks" of AI adoption, and will develop a plan to utilize its members' expertise to help others in Jersey.
Other organizations involved include the Government, Jersey Finance, the Jersey Financial Services Commission, the Jersey AI Forum, the Jersey Information Commissioner's Office, and the Institute of Directors.
Tony Moretta, chief executive of Digital Jersey and chair of the AI Council, said the island stood at a "pivotal moment in the AI revolution".
"While many businesses and organisations understand the significance of AI and are individually advancing their capabilities, progress is fragmented," he said.
"We believe we can achieve substantially more if we work together - and this is something that comes out strongly from our work on AI to date."
