Eric Trump says 'If Bitcoin falls so will the Pentagon

Eric Trump argues that Bitcoin's energy network makes it more robust than any mainstream system. • He describes Bitcoin as "financial freedom for the masses" and a hedge against inflation.

Trump says crypto gives ordinary Americans access to wealth once reserved only for the elite.

At the Blockchain Futurists Conference in Florida, Eric Trump spoke less like a politician and more like a person trying to understand a new world.

Standing before a room full of crypto founders, miners, and retail investors, he described his journey from skeptic to believer—which he said began just four or five years ago.

He discussed Bitcoin's (BTC) energy consumption, inflation, and hard assets, and explained what he thinks about a broken financial system that excludes ordinary people.

His tone was partly curious and partly full of conviction—a glimpse into how the Trump family's youngest son has carved out his niche in the crypto world.

In the Desert, a New Faith in Digital Gold

In the Texas desert, a massive warehouse 600 yards long buzzes with electricity, housing thousands of Bitcoin mining computers. For Eric Trump, this industrial fortress isn't just a business; it's a revelation.

"I was a person who didn't understand this world until four or five years ago," he admitted. "I spent a lot of time studying it."

He says that study changed everything.

Now he believes that the same energy that fuels these mining rigs also protects the future of finance.

"It [Trump's mining facility] uses about two and a half times the electricity of the city of White Plains," he said, "and it's protecting about 2.5% of the world's Bitcoin."

"If Bitcoin collapses, the Pentagon will collapse too."

Speaking on energy, Trump emphasized Bitcoin with an argument that is as absurd as it is bizarre.

The younger Trump claimed that Bitcoin's energy network is so vast that if it collapses, the rest of the digital world will collapse with it.

"If Bitcoin collapses—congratulations, the Pentagon is finished," he said. "Congratulations, Amazon is finished. Congratulations, Google is finished. JPMorgan doesn't stand a chance."

In his view, the energy required to protect the Bitcoin network far exceeds the defensive capabilities of entire nations. He said, "The energy used to protect Bitcoin would be equivalent to the energy of major countries around the world."

And if anyone thinks quantum computing could break it, Trump disagrees.

"You don't think a quantum computer would have already collapsed Bank of America? You don't think your Amazon account would have already been shut down?" he asked. "Bitcoin will actually be the last in a series of institutions to fall."
