Duncan, who starred in season 11 of the reality TV show, reportedly fell 100 feet to her death from a luxury London hotel.

Metropolitan Police officers found the socialite dead beneath the £1,000-a-night Trafalgar St. James Hotel late Thursday night.

“Officers responded to concerns for a man on the roof of a building in Cockspur Street, Westminster at 23:02 hours on Thursday, 30 October,” a Met spokesperson told the MailOnline.

"Unfortunately, the man fell from a height. Despite the best efforts of the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His death is unexpected, but not suspicious."

Duncan attended university with Prince William and was a well-known socialite in London. He was known to be a friend of Lord Peter Mandelson and former cabinet member turned broadcaster Michael Portillo.

Paying tribute to the Big Brother star, broadcaster Mike Hollingsworth said: "My dear friend Benjamin (Ben) Duncan has left us.

"He lived life like Peter Pan – a boy who never grew up. His countless friends, who fell in love with his charm, his wit, his infectious laugh, and his easygoing style, will miss him dearly. The world is a sadder place with his passing. RIP Benji."

Speaking to the Mail, another friend said: "Ben was always the life and soul of the party.

“Although he appeared on reality TV shows, Ben's true passions were politics and music.

“In recent years, he had become more reclusive – and struggled with insomnia.

“It's truly tragic that he's gone so soon.”

Duncan was one of the first to learn of the budding relationship between William and Kate Middleton. He said in 2010: "Since Will and Kate were with us, royal security officers were swarming over."

"We knew they got along well and we knew something was going to happen, but they were just left in the lurch."

Recalling the moment Kate mesmerized students at a fashion show at St. Andrews, he added: "It was the end of her first year. I was there, and there were so many attractive girls. She was wearing a very bold dress, a sheer stocking-like dress. He was sitting in the front row, and his eyes were like stalks.

"She passed him on the catwalk, and then things were never the same again—the whole history of the monarchy had changed."
