XRP's 'correction isn't over yet analyst sees more trouble ahead

XRP, the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has also fallen 20% in a month and is now trading at $2.34. Although Ripple's recent partnership with Mastercard led to a momentary surge in XRP's price, the subsequent decline has gradually discouraged traders.

In the chart above, the analyst studied XRP's price pattern using Elliott Wave theory, which divides market trends into waves of upticks and downticks. He concluded that XRP is still in a corrective phase that has not yet completed its journey.

Although XRP briefly rose to $2.41 after Mastercard's announcement, this surge did not last long. The analyst predicted that XRP would still need to retest the $2.05 price level, and once the cryptocurrency reaches that level, it will move towards $2.36.

The analyst emphasized that $2.05 would be the final low of the upcoming correction, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) appears to agree with this theory.

"We'll need to test $2.05 further before the correction is fully complete!"

It's worth noting that @CasiTrades isn't the only analyst expressing concern about XRP's current price behavior. Recently, another popular crypto analyst named @AltCryptoGems said that if XRP doesn't reclaim the $2.7 level, "we could be in real trouble."

However, XRP has gained nearly 6% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $2.34 at the time of writing.
