Epstein Emails Reveal ‘The Duke’ Dinner Invite With Russian Woman
Recently released documents from the US Department of Justice reveal that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein invited a man believed to be Prince Andrew, Duke of York, to dinner with a 26-year-old Russian woman in 2010.

The emails, signed "A" and bearing a signature resembling "HRH Duke of York KG," were exchanged in August 2010, two years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sex with a minor. The exchange emerged in the latest batch of documents released by the DOJ and could intensify scrutiny of Mountbatten-Windsor, who has faced years of criticism over his friendship with Epstein.

In the emails, Epstein offered to introduce the Duke to a young Russian woman, suggesting the Duke might enjoy having dinner with her during a trip to London in August 2010. In response, the Duke reportedly wrote that he would "be in Geneva until the morning of the 22nd but would be happy to meet her," and asked if she would be bringing any messages from Epstein. He also requested any further useful information about the woman.
Epstein replied that the woman was "26, Russian, bright, beautiful, trustworthy," and confirmed that she had the Duke's email address.

The BBC has not independently verified the authenticity of the emails and has contacted Mountbatten-Windsor for comment. The Duke has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and maintains that he neither witnessed, was aware of, nor suspected any illegal behavior that led to Epstein's conviction.

This email exchange took place just one month after Epstein completed his sentence in July 2010 for soliciting sex with a 14-year-old girl in Florida, following his 2008 conviction. Mountbatten-Windsor has also faced allegations that he sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre when Epstein trafficked her as a teenager – claims he has consistently denied. In 2022, he paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed by Giuffre, while maintaining that he had never met her.

The released emails add to a series of controversies surrounding the Duke's relationship with Epstein and could reignite public and media scrutiny. Legal experts have said the exchanges raise questions, although they emphasize that without further evidence, they do not prove wrongdoing.
