Defender Marc Guéhi is expected to miss England's final two World Cup qualifying games after suffering a foot injury in Crystal Palace's midweek Conference League match. The injury has left him unable to walk.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner confirmed the severity of the injury ahead of their Premier League match against Brighton on Sunday, stating that Guéhi would miss the game due to a "serious bone injury."
The incident occurred late in Thursday's 3-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar, when the Palace captain received a yellow card for a foul.
Glasner told Sky Sports: "He couldn't sleep all night, he was in a lot of pain, and the next day we checked him and found out he has a serious bone injury.
"For the last two days, he's been on crutches and can't put any weight on his foot.
"Luckily, nothing is broken, but he can't walk at the moment. It looks like he will miss the England games, but hopefully, in 10-14 days, he will be back in training and available to play again."
England, who have already qualified for next year's World Cup, play Serbia at Wembley on Thursday and then Albania in Tirana next Sunday.
England's players are due to report for duty on Monday, and Guéhi was selected on Friday alongside fellow centre-backs John Stones, Ezri Konsa, and Jarell Quansah in Thomas Tuchel's squad.
