YouTuber Jack Doherty Arrested in Miami
Police said YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested Saturday morning in the Miami area on drug possession and other charges.
According to arrest documents published by US media, the influencer was filming himself in the middle of the street while attempting to negotiate with police officers, obstructing traffic.
He was subsequently arrested, and a police search revealed "half of an orange oval pill with a 3 printed on it, consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine," and three "suspected cannabis cigarettes."
The 22-year-old is known for making provocative videos with titles like "I Got Kicked Out of a Cruise" and "I Got Hit by a Police Car."
He is also known for videos in which he provokes strangers on the street, then hides behind his bodyguard.
He has more than 15 million subscribers on YouTube, more than 10 million on TikTok, and more than 2.8 million followers on Instagram.
It's unclear whether Mr. Doherty has a lawyer. Representatives listed on his social media accounts did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
