2026 Honda Rebel 300 Launched with E-Clutch Overseas
Honda has launched the Rebel 300 with its proprietary E-Clutch in the US. The company has already introduced the electronic clutch in multiple motorcycles, starting with its 650cc twins, the CB650R and CBR650R. In the US, the motorcycle is pegged at USD
The E-Clutch allows riders to shift cogs without using the conventional handlebar-mounted clutch. Do not mistake it to be the same as Honda’s DCT transmission system, in which everything is taken care of by the system and the rider just needs to accelerate to ride. While the system on the Rebel 300 takes care of the clutch-engagement action, riders still need to manually shift gears. They can even opt to use the manual clutch for shifting gears, just like that on a conventional motorcycle. There are no modes to switch between, and the system itself detects when the rider intends to use the clutch and when he/she doesn’t, and performs its duties accordingly.
- Gets two new colour options
Powering the 2026 Rebel 300 E-Clutch is the same 286cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the standard model. It produces close to 24bhp and 23.86Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by 41mm telescopic forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The braking setup comprises a single disc at both ends. It’s pretty simple in terms of features with full-LED lighting and an LDC instrument cluster.
