Busy main road partially closed due to chicken escape
Dozens of escaped chickens forced the partial closure of a busy route in central Scotland.
After a trailer overturned on the A9 near Dunblane, birds spilled onto the carriageway, forcing police to close the northbound carriageway.
Emergency services are controlling traffic in Balhaldy while efforts are made to capture the chickens and place them back in their plastic crates.
Traffic Scotland also reported "long queues" in the southbound lane, causing motorists to face delays of up to 25 minutes.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the area while the incident is being investigated.
