Este Haim Marries Jonathan Levin in New Year’s Eve Ceremony
Este Haim ties the knot with Jonathan Levin in a star-studded New Year’s Eve wedding, attended by Taylor Swift — a true celebrity wedding moment.
Este Haim and Jonathan Levine are married. The Haim sister trio's bassist and the tech entrepreneur tied the knot in a wedding ceremony with family and friends in California on New Year's Eve (December 31) — a day Este had been "waiting for since she was five years old," she told Vogue, which documented her final dress fitting at Louis Vuitton ahead of the big day.
Among those in attendance at the couple's big day were Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks, who were spotted together in photos taken from afar by paparazzi (and later published by People).
Swift — wearing a formal, gold sequined gown for the New Year's Eve party — is a longtime close friend of Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim. They have also collaborated musically on "No Body, No Crime" (from Swift's Evermore; Este is also a featured character in the song) and "Gasoline" (from the expanded edition of Haim's Women in Music, Part III). Swift's fiancé, Travis Kelce, was not pictured in the wedding photos.
Haim has also recorded with Nicks — but their collaboration has yet to be heard. "We can't say too much, but we can say that Stevie Nicks is the greatest human being on this planet," Alana said earlier this year, with Danielle teasing, "And the song is really good." And to bring things full circle for the group: Nicks, who is name-checked in the lyrics of Swift's song "Clara Bow," wrote a poem that appears on the album art for The Tortured Poets Department.
In a video filmed by Vogue, Este appeared incredibly excited about her wedding, admitting that she had envisioned what the day would be like since she was a child. “When I was five years old, I envisioned myself walking down a winding staircase. Like a scene from Cinderella, I guess I was reenacting it. ‘I would come down in this big ballgown, and then my fiancé, my husband, would be at the bottom and take my hand,’” she recounted.
Este’s romantic wedding dress was designed by her friend Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director of women’s wear at Louis Vuitton. She also had two other designs made for the reception and after-party.

Although Haim announced her engagement to Levin in a playful Instagram post in February, declaring herself “TAKEN,” her boyfriend actually proposed on December 22, 2024 — and the proposal, which took place during a hike, completely surprised the bride-to-be. “I had Mario Badescu acne cream on, my hair was in a topknot, I had no makeup on, I was wearing a sweatshirt and sneakers,” she recalled, adding that she screamed with joy and had some fellow hikers take her picture.
As the Haim sisters explained in their video for Vogue, Este is the first of the three sisters to get married.
Haim’s latest studio album, I Quit, was released in July and reached No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart, No. 3 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, and No. 25 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
