According to new data from WX Charts, parts of the north, west, and central regions could see snowfall on November 15th and 16th, marking an unusually early start to the winter season.

The ECMWF weather model, one of the world's most powerful forecasting systems, is also predicting colder-than-average conditions in the coming weeks, raising hopes among weather experts that the magic of Christmas will soon be felt.

While long-term forecasts remain variable, current maps suggest that Ireland's typically mild November could be quite cold, with light rain and hail possible in many districts.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann's extended forecast suggests unsettled weather and below-normal temperatures will prevail throughout the year, leading to the possibility of more snowfall as December approaches.

With temperatures dropping and snowflakes forecast in the weather charts, Ireland could see its first snowfall in November in many years, and perhaps even a start to the Christmas season.
