Jack Johnson surfs into Austin on expansive 2026 tour

The massive 43-date North American tour, beginning in Guilford, New Hampshire, on June 19th, will feature three distinct legs.

Three Texas shows—The Woodlands on August 28th, Austin on August 29th, and Dallas on August 30th—will be part of the second leg, where Johnson will also be joined by Lake Street Dive.

This tour is Johnson's first since 2022 and celebrates a new era of engagement with music, film, and the environment, rooted in his more than 20-year career.

Johnson is touring in support of an upcoming soundtrack composed by Johnson and Hermanos Gutierrez for a new documentary, Surfilmusic, which traces Johnson's journey from surfer to filmmaker and then musician.

The film, scheduled for release in 2026, chronicles the making of his iconic surf films, Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000), which paved the way for his music career.

It celebrates Johnson's lifelong friendships and the ocean-based community that shaped his life, and features many of the surfers who appeared in the original films, including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, and the Malloy Brothers.

Johnson released his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, in 2001, and has released eight other albums, the most recent of which is Meet the Moonlight in 2022.

Fans can register for the Jack Johnson presale at jackjohnsonmusic.com, now through Sunday, November 9. The presale begins Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10 am local time and runs through general on-sale date of Friday, November 14.
