New Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 edition unveiled
Triumph has launched more track focused counterparts of its Street Triple 765. The new 765 RX and 765 Moto2 edition.
With these variants, Triumph aims to bring Moto2-inspired precision and enhanced sportiness to its middleweight lineup. Here's everything you need to know about them.
Design
Street Triple 765 RX and 765 Moto2 Edition. Both variants build on the Street Triple's established performance base but adopt a more focused approach, featuring improved ergonomics, upgraded hardware, and styling cues inspired by Triumph's racing program. The RX brings a more aggressive street-sport character, while the Moto2 Edition is directly inspired by Triumph's involvement in the Moto2 Championship, with components and design elements reminiscent of its racing DNA.
The Street Triple 765 RX features distinctive design elements that distinguish it from the 765 RS. It features a new matte aluminum color, RX logos on the seat, exhaust, and handlebars. The Moto2 Edition features a new Mineral Grey/Crystal White color and a special Moto2 livery. Limited to just 1,000 units, each Moto2 Edition features a uniquely numbered top yoke. The RX and Moto2 versions also feature a special clip-on handlebar, making the riding position even more aggressive and track-focused. The Moto2 version also features special carbon fiber components.
Engine and Gearbox
Both are built on the same platform and feature the same 765cc inline-3 engine that produces 128 bhp at 12,000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox, a slip-and-assist clutch, and a quickshifter, all of which come standard.
Suspension and Brakes
They feature a completely different suspension setup. At the front, it features an Öhlins NIX30 fully adjustable suspension with 115 mm of wheel travel, and at the rear, an Öhlins STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock with 131 mm of travel. At the front, it features two 310mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema 4-piston calipers, while at the rear, there's a 220mm disc with a Brembo single-piston caliper.
Rider Aids and Features
The Street Triple 765 RX and Moto 2 Edition feature a comprehensive set of rider aids, including cornering ABS, switchable traction control, and multiple riding modes optimized for different road and track conditions. They also feature a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, and a fully digital TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Both new variants feature the same electronic and convenience features as the Street Triple RS, ensuring a familiar yet performance-focused experience.
