Savannah Guthrie has shared a new message thanking people for their continued prayers. She also made an urgent appeal for help as her mother, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing.

In an Instagram video shared on February 9, Savannah said she has "some thoughts" as she and her siblings "head into another week of this nightmare."

"First of all, I just want to say thank you so much for all of your prayers and love, which we have felt—my sister, brother, and I—and which our mother has felt," she said. "Because we believe that somehow, she is feeling these prayers, and God is supporting her in this moment and in this darkest place."

She added, "We believe our mother is still out there." "We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock to bring them home, to find them. They've been taken, and we don't know where, and we need your help." Savannah continued, "Not just for your prayers, but wherever you are, even if you're away from Tucson, if you see anything, hear anything, if you notice anything strange, please report it to the police. We're in a very difficult time, and we need your help."

The FBI stated that this new message came after authorities distributed a potential ransom note to the media on February 5, which included a demand for that day and another for February 9. Authorities are still investigating whether the first and second notes have the same source or are connected to someone else behind Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.

In a new FBI statement on February 9, they said they do not know whether there is any ongoing communication between the suspected kidnapper and the Guthrie family.

“For more than a week, FBI agents, analysts, and professional staff have been working around the clock to reunite Nancy Guthrie with her family. The FBI is not aware of any ongoing communication between the Guthrie family and the suspected kidnappers, nor have we identified any suspects or persons of interest in this case at this time,” an FBI official said. “More personnel from FBI field offices across the country are deploying to Tucson. We are currently operating a 24-hour command post that includes crisis management experts, analytical support, and investigative teams. But we still need the public's help.”

Amid the search for Nancy Guthrie, Hoda Kotb is working in Savannah's place today and will continue to do so.
