Major chaos hit Leeds Train Station after a major signalling system fault halted all rail lines, causing widespread delays and cancellations across LNER, Northern, TransPennine Express, and CrossCountry services.

Major disruption in Leeds has been reported across several rail networks after "problems with the signals" halted train lines.
 
CrossCountry, London North Eastern Railway and Northern services have all been halted at Leeds due to problems with the signals. According to TransPennine Express - whose lines have also been affected - Train services running through Leeds station have been cancelled or delayed, which was reported earlier this morning (November 30).
 
Meanwhile, passengers stuck at the station have told YorkshireLive that members of the public have been stopped from entering the station beyond the gates.
TransPennine Express currently reads: "Due to a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines are blocked."
 
"There is a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds will be closed. TransPennine Express services WILL NOT operate on the following routes between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds on 30/11/2025 and Manchester Victoria to Scarborough, in both directions."

The latest update from LNER, posted to 'X' read: "We are experiencing major disruption across the LNER route due a person being hit by a train between #Edinburgh and #BerwickUponTweed, and a fault with the signalling system at #Leeds."
