Perhaps the most anticipated launch of the year, Tata Motors has revealed the prices of the new Sierra. It has been launched at a starting price of ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in seven variants. Bookings for this mid-size premium SUV will open on December 16, 2025, and deliveries will begin on January 15, 2026. Set to rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq, here's everything you need to know about the new Tata Sierra.

Engine and Gearbox Options
Tata is offering the Sierra in three engine options – two 1.5-liter petrol engines and one diesel engine. A 1.5-liter Revotron naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine will kick off the range. It produces 104bhp and 145Nm and will be available in six variants with either a manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission. Next up is the 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion turbo-petrol, a four-cylinder, which is the most powerful. This engine produces 158bhp and 255Nm and can only be had with a torque converter automatic. For all you oil-burner fans, the Sierra also has the option of a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 116bhp. It produces 260Nm of torque when paired with a manual and a slightly higher 280Nm when paired with a torque converter. The Sierra is based on Tata's new Argos platform, which the brand says is all-wheel-drive ready, and they've also hinted at an electric variant of the SUV.

The Sierra has 205mm of ground clearance, a 26.5-degree approach, a 23.1-degree ramp over, and a 31.6-degree departure angle, and it runs on frequency-dependent dampers (FDD) at both ends.

Exterior, Interior, and Features
Tata Motors has turned it up to 11 in terms of features on the new Sierra. First, the styling. It looks almost identical to the concept car shown earlier this year. It's boxy and sharp, with futuristic styling, but it also features some design elements that pay homage to the first-gen Sierra. At the front, it features a full-width LED light bar, slim LED headlights, a faux silver skid plate, an upright bonnet, and Sierra badging. In profile, the SUV rides on 19-inch alloys, has integrated door handles, and a black element on the rear door that mimics the iconic rear glass house area of the first-gen Sierra. It also features a nearly straight rear end, a power tailgate with gesture control, a smart spoiler, and the same silver skid plate treatment as the front.

Step inside, the first thing that catches your eye is the digital real estate – it features a 12.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and a 10.25-inch passenger screen, all integrated into a single piece, which looks really cool. It features a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat with memory function, a 12-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, rear sun shades, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and a large 622-liter boot.

For the rear seat, it features a rear sun shade, dedicated air-con vents, two Type-C USB ports, best-in-class legroom, and a manual Boss Mode for the left-seat passenger, allowing them to remove the front left seat back to increase legroom. The rear seats also have a two-step recline and a 60:40 split. When folded down, boot space increases from 622 liters to 1257 liters.

In terms of safety, the Sierra comes standard with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, ABS, TC, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX seat anchors, and an electronic parking brake, among other features. It is also expected to receive a full 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP safety crash test.
