Grande and other stars were attending the film's Asia-Pacific premiere at the city-state's Universal Studios last Thursday when, according to court documents, the man, identified as 26-year-old Johnson Wayne, jumped over a barricade and threw his arms around the startled actress.

Wen, who is alleged to have disrupted other global sports events and concerts, "showed a pattern of behaviour, which suggests that you will do it again", Singapore District Judge Christopher Goh said before handing down the sentence.

Eyewitness video from the event at Universal Studios Singapore shows Wayne running towards Grande on the yellow carpet and putting his arm around her, who was standing next to his co-star Michelle Yeoh.

When security rushed to pull Wayne away, Cynthia Erivo, who starred in the film, intervened.

Wen posted about the incident on Instagram on Thursday, appearing to claim responsibility and saying he had been released after an arrest.
