The contest was reduced to 49 overs per side following a delayed start caused by rain, forcing both teams to adjust their strategies early in the game.

India’s innings was anchored by Aaron George, who played a fluent and confident knock of 85 runs off 88 balls. George was the standout performer for India, striking 12 boundaries and a six to guide his side past the 200-run mark and provide some stability after early setbacks.

However, several key Indian batters failed to make an impact. Highly rated youngsters Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre could not convert their starts. Vaibhav was dismissed early for 5 off 9 balls by Mohammad Sayyam, who then struck again in the 10th over to remove Ayush Mhatre for a brisk 38 off 25 deliveries.

Pakistan’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings, making regular inroads and preventing India from accelerating in the final overs, eventually bowling them out before the completion of the 49 overs.
