Guernsey's state-owned airline, Aurigny, has stated that the agreement regarding services between Cornwall and Gatwick will not impact its fleet.

Following the closure of Eastern Airways, Skybus will take over the operation of the Newquay to London Gatwick route, under an agreement with both Aurigny and Jersey-based Blue Islands.

Aurgny stated that it was appointed to provide ground handling services for Skybus, and had previously provided the same service to Eastern Airways using its existing ground handling resources at Gatwick Airport.

It further stated that the new agreement will not involve "redistribution of Aurigny's aircraft fleet or human resources."

A temporary agreement with the airline Skybus has allowed the resumption of the discontinued route between Newquay and London.
