Police are trying to gather information about the death of a man whose body was found three days after he walked on the A82 in Ballachulish

Body Found Three Days After Man Reported Missing

The 52-year-old man's body was found near a cycle path south of the Ballachulish roundabout at around 10:25 a.m. on Thursday.

Police have determined that he left the Ballachulish Hotel at around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, intending to walk along the footpath along the A82 towards Ballachulish.

His death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the man or who has dashcam footage from that time to contact them.

Det Insp Andy Bilton said: "Inquiries are at an early stage and we are appealing for the help of the public to establish the last movements of the man as he made his way from the Ballachulish Hotel.

"I would urge anyone who was driving on the A82 around this time to think back – did you see someone in the area?"
