Pop superstar Britney Spears has sold the rights to her entire music catalog.
Spears, 44, sold the rights to independent music publisher Primary Wave on December 30 for approximately $200 million (£146 million).
The singer, whose long-term conservatorship has shaped her personal and professional life, is known for hits like "...Baby One More Time," "Oops!... I Did It Again," "Toxic," and "Gimme More."
Primary Wave did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Spears' representatives declined to comment.
In January 2024, the singer stated that she would "never return to the music industry." Her last song was a duet with Elton John, released in 2022.

Primary Wave has also purchased the rights to the properties of Notorious B.I.G., Prince, and Whitney Houston.
The details of the sale and the exact price of Spears' catalog have not been made public. High-profile artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and Shakira have also recently sold their catalogs.
Springsteen sold his old catalog to Sony for $500 million in 2021, and Bieber reportedly signed a $200 million deal with Hipgnosis Songs Capital in 2023.
The publisher was founded 20 years ago by music executive Lawrence Mestel when he acquired 50% of Kurt Cobain's Nirvana catalog.

The sale comes after a difficult few years for the singer, who ended a 13-year conservatorship in 2021 – a legal guardianship that placed her finances and personal life under the control of her father.
The singer published her memoir, "The Woman in Me," in 2023, detailing her struggles while under conservatorship.
Her ex-husband Kevin Federline released his memoir, "You Thought You Knew," in late 2025.
