Dolly Parton has canceled her upcoming Las Vegas residency as she undergoes treatment for health issues.

In a statement posted on her social media accounts, the 80-year-old country music star said she is "responding very well to medications and treatments" and is "getting better every day," noting her long-standing struggle with kidney stones.

Parton had previously postponed her six-show engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace—shifting it from December 2025 to September 2026—in order to address these "health challenges."

"I still have a little more healing to do, but I am on the mend!" the musician said on Monday while announcing the cancellation of the residency.

Speaking in her signature upbeat style, Parton explained in a video message that she "can't be dizzy while wearing 5-inch heels and lifting banjos, guitars, and things like that—and you know I'm going to be wearing them."

"And yes, not to mention all those heavy, sparkly outfits, the big hair, and my big... uh, personality," she joked.

The country star noted that it will take her a little while to be "ready to perform on stage."

"I am truly sorry that I won't be able to see all of you who bought tickets to see me in Las Vegas. Well, you guys go to Vegas and have a great time... and I will see you all sometime in the future."

Parton added that she is still recording music, making videos, visiting her Dollywood park, and working on writing a Broadway musical. She also mentioned that she is working on opening a museum and a hotel in Nashville later this year. Parton—a musical icon who has won 10 Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame—is best known for numerous country music hits, including "Coat of Many Colors," "I Will Always Love You," "9 to 5," and "Jolene."

She was scheduled to perform these songs in Las Vegas, along with dozens of other fan favorites. This would have marked her first engagement on the Las Vegas Strip since the 1990s—when she performed alongside her "Islands in the Stream" duet partner, Kenny Rogers.
