Dharmendra’s Death: Celebs Pay Last Respects

Dharmendra Death News LIVE Updates: Renowned Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday at the age of 89, police sources confirmed to The Indian Express. He was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital in October after experiencing breathing problems. After several weeks of medical care, he was discharged on November 12 and continued treatment at home. The actor breathed his last on November 24.

Dharmendra appeared in over 300 films in a career spanning over six decades. He was known for his work in films such as Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Satyakam, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer, and Anupama. His powerful screen presence earned him nicknames like "He-Man of Bollywood," "Garam Dharam," and "Action King." In addition to acting, Dharmendra was also a film producer and served as a Member of Parliament for a short time. In 2012, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour. Dharmendra married his first wife Prakash Kaur in 1954 and has four children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol and Ajeeta Deol. In 1979, he married actress Hema Malini, with whom he has two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
