Murder Arrest After Death at Student Residence
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing at Somerleyton House, a residence for students and professionals in Norwich.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a death at a residence for students and professionals.
Emergency services were called to Somerleyton House on Somerleyton Street in Norwich after reports of a man being stabbed.
Norfolk Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene and a man has been detained.
Police said several people were being temporarily evacuated from their homes while inquiries continued.
Officers could be seen inside the building, which has 59 bedrooms divided into several flats, while vehicles, including a forensic service van, were parked outside.
Supt Sonia Humphries said: "We know this is upsetting and may cause concern in the community.
"You will see officers on scene over the next few days working to establish the true circumstances."
