Documents filed with Companies House reveal that six companies linked to Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, are being closed.
Ferguson is a director of all six businesses, which are due to be removed from the register within ten days – unless a legal reason can be shown to prevent this.
It is unclear what the firms' activities were, although one is related to public relations and the other to retail. None appears to be very commercially active.
Their closure follows further revelations from the Epstein files, which reveal that the former wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor confided in the wealthy pedophile how distressed she was about her financial difficulties.
Email exchanges between Ferguson and Epstein reveal that while he was in prison for forcing a minor into prostitution, he sought financial advice from her on how to deal with his £6 million debt.
Being named in the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.
A spokesperson for the former Duchess of York has been contacted for comment.
The companies to be closed are S Phoenix Events, Fergie's Farm, La Luna Investments, Solamoon Ltd, Philanthrapreneur Ltd, and Planet Partners Productions Ltd, none of which have a public profile.
The listings for five of the six companies state that there is an "application to remove the company from the register." This means the company will cease trading and cease to exist.
The sixth, S Phoenix Events, which also mentions receiving an application to remove the company, lists Sarah Ferguson as the person authenticating the application on behalf of the company.
Ferguson is listed as an active director for three other businesses registered with Companies House: Ginger and Moss, which was started as a lifestyle brand selling tea, jewelry, and home furnishings; a "motion picture production activities" business called Coat; and Librasol, classified under "artistic creation" on the official register of private companies.

The companies being closed were all started more than a decade ago. Most are classified as "dormant companies," with little or no recent commercial activity reported.
Ferguson is the sole remaining director of all of them.
Late last year, documents show that she officially changed her details for all the firms, from Sarah, Duchess of York, to Sarah Margaret Ferguson.
Ferguson's financial difficulties had been reported for years, but the publication of files containing letters from Jeffrey Epstein has revealed the extent of the pressure she was under.
One file reveals that she told Epstein she was "going crazy with exhaustion" while he was still in custody in Florida and she relied on him for emotional support.
