Alfonso comes from a high-profile conservative family. He is the son-in-law of Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy and Fox News anchor Rachel Campos-Duffy, both longtime allies of the Trump movement.

Trump praised Alfonso’s family for their advocacy of the America First agenda and said Alfonso himself would carry that mission forward in Congress.
