A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murdering a 50-year-old woman in Swindon has been released on bail as police continue their investigation.
When police arrived at a home in Swindon at around 19:00 GMT on Friday, a 50-year-old woman was found not breathing.
Wiltshire Police said the 50-year-old woman, who lived at the home in Beadon Close, Moredon, died at the scene.
The girl was later arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody for questioning. She has been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Wiltshire Police said people should expect an increased police presence in the area.
The force said that while there is no threat to the public, people can expect an increased police presence in the area.
A spokesperson said, "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."
