However, the soft suspension may feel a little floaty for some drivers, especially on uneven roads.

Thankfully, physical buttons remain for key climate functions.
Space is where the EV5 shines. Thanks to an extended wheelbase over the Sportage, both front and rear passengers enjoy generous legroom, making it a strong option for families.
As for price, the EV5 starts at £39,295 in base trim, with a generous list of standard equipment. Top-spec models climb to £47,095 — a figure that places it firmly among premium electric rivals and may give some buyers pause.
So, is the Kia EV5 a game-changer? Not quite — but it’s a solid, sensible, and spacious electric SUV that plays to Kia’s strengths. For buyers prioritizing comfort, range, and practicality over outright excitement, the EV5 could be a compelling new option in an increasingly crowded EV market.
